Open World delegation of Women Leaders visit Bemidji, Minn.
Bemidji volunteers annually host Open World delegations primarily from Balakavo and Tomsk, Russia. Together they are working to impact on nursing leadership and nursing education in Russia and build on a partnership that has blossomed in the past decade.
Many citizens and volunteers in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisc. gained an understanding and appreciation about Kazakhstan while hosting a delegation of Open World women leaders. Wisconsin Rapids citizens were impressed by the diverse professional responsibilities of the participants. A meeting with economic development women leaders in the region reinforced the need to enhance the entrepreneurial and small business management skills of women in Kazakhstan.
