Reproductive Health Program – Grant funds from the U. S. Agency for International Development distributed through the American International Health Alliance provides Reproductive Health Services to residents in four cities in the Moscow Oblast.
Goal: To design and implement a comprehensive program to address the reproductive health needs of the residents in the Moscow Region, utilizing a community based approach to family planning, integrating the services into primary care, and other related programs such as sexually transmitted infections (STI) prevention programs.
Major Achievements: This project was funded in July 2004. The cities of Dubna, Mytischi, Ramenskoe and Voskresensk have been selected to participate in the project. Planning and training programs have been developed and are being implemented.
Funding: The U. S. Agency for International Development allocated $800,000 for this project implemented by World Services of La Crosse.
