Goal: To manage a contract designed to create and implement a one month study tour for 40 health officials from Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
Major Achievements: Delegates received a comprehensive overview of the U.S. health care system from organizations such at Mayo Clinic, an understanding of U.S. health care financing from various insurance, private provider and government professionals. They also visit trade shows with the goal of providing connectivity to purchase low cost and used health care equipment. Each of the participants developed a plan to share with the health leaders of their countries.

Funding: U.S. Commerce Department Management Training program provided a contract for approximately $600,000 to fund the program.
