Emergency Response Training Workshop - Staff from World Services of La Crosse, Inc. collaborated with other U.S. cities in organizing and implementing this workshop in Dubna, Russia.
Goal: To provide four former closed cities of Russia with training in Emergency Response to critical situations.
Major Accomplishments: Participants received training in effective implementation techniques that can result in achieving and sustaining change in a community as well as emergency response as provided by U.S. representatives of the Red Cross and fire personnel.
Funding: The U.S. State Department Office of Citizen Exchanges worked cooperatively with Sister Cities International to provide funding, which was administered by staff of World Services of La Crosse, Inc.
