World Services of La Crosse is a non-profit organization that works on connecting communities by connecting people. Through offering in-country consultation services or by hosting foreign professionals, we focus on developing programs, people and leaders who can make a difference in their community. In providing an opportunity to bring people from different countries together we hope that the experience will change their view of one another. Our belief is that by connecting communities you can create bridges to building peace because people make the difference.
World Services of La Crosse has been awarded a contract by World Learning FORECAST to consult with the Republic of Georgia’s National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC). Beginning in 2009 World Services was asked to perform an organizational performance assessment to enhance organizational structure and processes, and its human resource management functions.
World Services, along with Dr. David Tornberg from Logistics Health, worked in Tbilisi for three weeks to provide consultation and technical assistance. Local Georgian partners in this project include “Partners-Georgia”, United Nations Association Georgia, and the Applied Research Center.
