Mission Statement:

World Services of La Crosse is a leader in the development and implementation of international partnerships designed to advance health, civil society, public administration and the environment, to promote peace and mutual understanding in countries throughout the world.

Connecting Communities:

World Services of La Crosse is a non-profit organization that works on connecting communities by connecting people. Through offering in-country consultation services or by hosting foreign professionals, we focus on developing programs, people and leaders who can make a difference in their community.  In providing an opportunity to bring people from different countries together we hope that the experience will change their view of one another. Our belief is that by connecting communities you can create bridges to building peace because people make the difference.

Share Your Expertise in 2011

In preparation for the 2011 Open World hosting season, World Services of La Crosse Inc. is seeking organizations or communities that are interested in hosting an Open World delegation.

The congressionally sponsored Open World Program brings emerging leaders from Russia, Ukraine, and other post-Soviet states to the United States in order to give them firsthand exposure to the American system of participatory democracy and free enterprise. The Open World Program focuses on developing an international leadership network through which professional counterparts with mutual interests are able to consult and cooperate with each other on issues affecting their communities.

Community Connections: First Impressions

On Wednesday May 12th, a group of ten physician hospital administrators arrived in La Crosse, Wisconsin to share in a cross-cultural professional exchange focusing on hospital administration. We asked them of their first impressions of the U.S. upon arrival, this is what they shared:

Throughout the delegates visit we will be sharing pictures of the delegation as they meet with professionals in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. Please check back to, through pictures, travel with the delegates as they visit the U.S. for the first time.
